Cargo ships, with the exception of oil tankers, ≥ 10,000 GT, but 20,000 GT < New mandatory requirements for the electronic exchange of cargo, crew and passenger information have been adopted under a revised annex to the Convention on International Maritime Facilitation (ALF), which aims to harmonise the procedures for the arrival, stay and departure of ships from the port. Tankers of more than 20,000 dwt were already needed to install such systems. SOLAS Regulation II-1/3-10, introduced by IMO Resolution MSC.290(87), stipulates that oil tankers and bulk carriers (excluding ore carriers and combined vessels) with a length of 150 m (length of the loading line) and more must be accompanied by a shipbuilding record to be kept on board the ship and/or ashore* and, where appropriate, updated throughout the vessel`s service. This requirement applies to ships: the code referred to here is the Lifesaving Devices Code, which describes in detail the requirements for the release mechanism of lifeboats in the specified sections. Cargo ships <500 GT but ≥150 GT shall be equipped with BNWAS in accordance with paragraph 2.2.3 of Chapter V of SoLAS Regulation 19 no later than the time of the first assessment after 1 January 2018.

SOLAS Regulation II-2/10.10.4, as amended by IMO Resolution MSC.338(91), provides: „For ships built on or after 1 July 2014, at least two portable two-way radios shall be carried for each household in order to communicate with firefighters on board. These portable two-way radios must be explosion-proof or inherently safe. So, is it okay, 2set in the fire lockers (one set for each fire hydrant) and 2set in the mid. store for helicopters or we need to add 2 other firefighting equipment for helicopter operation except 4set in FL.
